A family with a shared passion
BSF Expediteurs emerged from the vision of Willem Bestman, who founded the company as a sole proprietorship in 1998. Over the years, the company has grown, not only in size but also in the involvement of its employees. What started as a one-man operation has now evolved into a close-knit team of 10 individuals, with leadership now in the hands of Willem's son, Ruud Bestman, and Roel van Tuijl.
Ruud Bestman brings over 25 years of knowledge and experience in logistics services, with particular expertise in the export of metals according to EVOA regulations. His expertise contributes to the specialization of BSF Expediteurs and strengthens the company at the international level.
Roel van Tuijl, with his background in business administration, brings broad organizational knowledge and experience. He is responsible for general business operations and has focused on the logistical handling of import shipments according to Customs regulations and AEO procedures. His contribution to the company ensures streamlined operations and solid compliance with regulations.
What distinguishes BSF Expediteurs is not only its success as a business but also the strong family bond and shared passion for logistics and tradition. This is reflected in the personal traditions cherished within the company. The recipe for 'Pikkepoelie', devised by Grandma Bestman, is one such tradition. It is still often prepared in the office and even serves as a sort of initiation ritual for newcomers, helping them quickly feel at home within the BSF Expediteurs family.
